George Stephanopoulos Speaks At
AHI Business Network Luncheon

WASHINGTON, DC -- On June 25 2003, George Stephanopoulos, anchor of ABC's Sunday morning program This Week and former senior advisor to President Clinton, spoke at the AHI Business Network Luncheon which was held at Capital Hilton Hotel. Mr. Stephanopoulos gave an off the record presentation of his insights from his experiences in the fields of politics and foreign affairs.

AHI Executive Director Nick Larigakis, welcomed the guest speaker and the attendees. AHI Chairman Jim Marketos, introduced Mr. Stephanopoulos and provided a brief overview of his impressive career path.

During his presentation, Mr. Stephanopoulos shared with the audience his experiences in his current career in journalism and answered audience questions for over 30 minutes. Mr. Stephanopoulos provided insightful comments on a broad range of foreign and domestic policy issues, including U.S. - Greece relations, the War in Iraq, the Cyprus issue, U.S. policy in the Middle East and U.S. - Turkish relations. At the end of the event, Mr. Stephanopoulos signed copies of his best-seller book "All Too Human" and posed for photographs with many of the attendees. Over 75 people attended the Business Network Luncheon.

The AHI Business Network, initiated in 1989, is a division of the AHI designed to reach out to the business experience of Greek Americans and to put that experience to work helping other Greek Americans. Its purpose is to share business information and contacts. Its concept is people helping people by sharing experience, knowledge and ideas.
