AHI Congratulates Members of Congress on Letter Regarding the Recent TSA Activities in Occupied Cyprus WASHINGTON, DC—On December 13, 2004, eighteen members of Congress sent a letter to Secretary of State Colin L. Powell and Secretary of Homeland Security Thomas J. Ridge regarding the recent Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials’ activities in occupied Cyprus. This letter was initiated by Congressman Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) which asks for an explanation of the recent TSA officials’ activities in occupied Cyprus, where they were seen investigating the plausibility of flights from the airport of Tymbou, as well as a reaffirmation of the US existing policy towards Cyprus. This letter circulated in the House of Represenatives and thanks to grassroots lobbying efforts the following Representatives signed onto the letter: Michael Bilirakis (R-FL), Carolyn B.
