AHI Releases Two Op-Eds on Trending Policy Topics Affecting the Greek American Community

WASHINGTON, DC
— The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) released two Op-Eds that were published in a number of Greek American publications in January and February 2011.

AHI Founder Gene Rossides wrote “Obama is the key problem regarding Turkey” on January 8, 2011.  Rossides breaks down and analyzes an interview President Barack Obama held with the Turkish daily newspaper Hürriyet published on December 19, 2010.

“On all these [policy] matters Obama used language which the Turks and other could interpret as soft and without any real sense of pressure,” wrote Rossides.

In the second Op-Ed, AHI President/COO Nick Larigakis writes about how 2011 provides a unique window of opportunity for the Greek American community to make headway on the issues affecting it.  The op-ed is titled “2011: A Year of Opportunity,” and it was written January 22, 2011.

The op-eds received placement in the following publications: The National HeraldGreek NewsThe Hellenic VoiceHellenic News of America, and The Greek Star.
