Cyprus Documentary an Educational Tool, Says Larigakis

WASHINGTON, DC — American Hellenic Institute (AHI) President Nick Larigakis provided an in-depth interview to Greek Newsthat was featured in the publication’s April 4, 2011 edition.  Journalist Vicki James Yiannias conducted the interview soon after AHI’s New York City screening of the documentary “Cyprus Still Divided: A U.S. Foreign Policy Failure” at New York University.

In the interview, Larigakis discusses the importance of the documentary and what the community can do to create awareness about it.

“Ultimately it [the documentary] serves as an educational tool for our own community, which is still very under-educated on the intricacies of this issue, and certainly our policy-makers and other non-Greek Americans in the community,” Larigakis said.
