Tim Ananiades was born in Katerini, Greece and has been based in Athens since 2003. He is currently the Area Manager for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Greece/Cyprus/Balkans and the Managing Director of the Hotels Grande Bretagne and King George. Previously, he was the Starwood Hotels and Resorts Area Manager for Turkey. Prior to joining Starwood Hotels, he worked with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts for twenty-four years. Up to that time, Ananiades experience included working as the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency in Miami, Coral Gables, and Pittsburgh; as the Director of Food and Beverage of the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, New Orleans, Nashville, and Buffalo; and as the Corporate Director of Food and Beverage in Chicago. In addition, he led the openings of the Hyatt Regency in Thessaloniki, Greece and the Grand Hyatt Mumbai in India. Currently, Ananiades also serves on the boards of the Hotel Association of Athens and Attica and the American Community Schools of Athens.

Ananiades holds a BA in Business Administration from George Brown College and Ryerson University in Canada. He is married with three children.
