AHI Executive Director Nick Larigakis Speaks at the American Foundation for Greek Language and Culture Eleventh Annual Educational Forum

WASHINGTON, DC—On March 2-4, 2006, AHI Executive Director Nick Larigakis attended and spoke in a panel discussion at the American Foundation for Greek Language and Culture’s (AFGLC) Eleventh Annual Educational Forum on “Hellenic Paideia: Challenges to Higher Education” at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He spoke in a panel discussion on “The Mission of AFGLC and the Media.”

The fundamental mission of the AFGLC is to assist in the preservation and enhancement of Greek Culture and Language in the United States through institutions of higher learning. The Foundation was established by a group of concerned Greek and Philhellenes across America, whose role is to make available to the present and secure for the future, the historic and cultural role of the Hellenic tradition and language. The foundation is a nonprofit organization with its headquarters in the state of Florida. Its scope and patronage are envisioned as national and international with particular emphasis on the bonds that exist between Greece and the United States.
