AHI Hosts Briefing with State Department Officials

WASHINGTON, DC —The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) hosted a breakfast briefing in cooperation with the Hellenic American National Council (HANC) that featured Senior Greece Desk Officer Chris Snipes and Senior Cyprus Desk Officer Adam Scarlatelli, on October 23, 2010 at the Capital Hilton, Washington. The briefing was included as part of HANC’s annual conference.

“We believe it important to maintain an open line of communication with the Department of State, and we were pleased to offer this briefing as a means to facilitate communication between the department and the community,” said Executive Director Nick Larigakis.  “We appreciate Chris and Adam taking time on a Saturday to participate at the briefing and for providing an update on the latest developments at they pertain to Greece and Cyprus.”

Following the desk officers’ presentations, a vigorous question and answer session followed.  Executive Director Larigakis moderated the briefing and Q&A period.
