Greece’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Meets with AHI

WASHINGTON, DC — Greece’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Pavlos Geroulanos, visited American Hellenic Institute’s (AHI’s) Hellenic House on Thursday, March 17, 2011.

“We welcomed the opportunity to meet with Minister Geroulanos during his visit to the United States,” said AHI President Nick Larigakis.  “We had a productive discussion about the minister’s goals to increase tourism to Greece as well as learning about cultural initiatives that Greece is undertaking.”

Ambassador of Greece to the United States Vassilis Kaskarelis accompanied Minister Geroulanos.

AHI Board of Directors Members Gene Rossides, James Marketos, and Jim Pedas, along with AHI supporter Ted Pedas, participated.  President Larigakis led the discussion.

The minister visited New York City in addition to Washington.

The American Hellenic Institute is a non-profit Greek American public policy center that works to strengthen relations between the United States and Greece and Cyprus, and within the Greek American community.
