AHI Supports American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce Competition to Foster Innovation, Entrepreneurship in Greece

WASHINGTON, DC — The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) supports a major initiative launched by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce aimed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Greece called Make Innovation Work (MIW).

“AHI applauds the MIW competition launched by the Chamber and encourages individuals and entities with innovative business proposals to submit them to the Chamber in the effort to contribute to the development of Greece,” AHI President Nick Larigakis said.

According to the Chamber, business proposals will be considered in the following sectors:

  • Green Energy
  • Tourism
  • Alternative Agriculture
  • Transportation & Shipping


The MIW competition is under the auspice of the Prime Minister of Greece, George Papandreou.  The deadline for the submission of proposals is May 16, 2011.  Winners will be announced in October 2011.
