AHI Legal Counsel Appears on NPR’s “The Diane Rehm Show” to Discuss Greek Election Outcome

WASHINGTON, DC —Nicholas G. Karambelas, Esq., legal counsel, American Hellenic Institute (AHI), appeared on National Public Radio’s “The Diane Rehm Show” on Mon., June 18, 2012, to discuss the “Results of the Greek Elections and the Future of the Euro Zone.” Susan Page guest hosted the show which aired on WAMU 88.5 FM in Washington, DC.

Markus Ziener, U.S. correspondent for Handelsblatt, a leading German-language business newspaper; and Zanny Minton Beddoes, economics editor, The Economist; formerly, economist at the International Monetary Fund joined Karambelas on the panel.

Karambelas explained the results of the Greek election, including the lack of any one party to win a mandate to govern and offered his thoughts on the ability of the Greek political parties, led by leading vote-getter New Democracy, to form a governing coalition.
