New Greek TV “Greek of the Week” Features AHI President

WASHINGTON, DC —New Greek TV featured American Hellenic Institute President Nick Larigakis as its “Greek of the Week.” The profile interview by Maria Athens, titled, “AHI President Nick Larigakis: ‘Take Pride & Have Passion In What You Do’” ran in the January 30, 2015 edition. 

In the interview, Larigakis discusses his roots and career path, his drive to become an advocate, and his vision for the American Hellenic Institute.  A large portion of the interview is dedicated to AHI’s evolution since its founding and the challenges Larigakis faces of attracting young Greek Americans and Philhellenes as members to the organization. 

Larigakis also offers this advice to the next generation of Greek Americans: “It is highly critical to take pride and have passion for what you do because at the end of the day, you spend the majority of your hours at your job…If you are passionate about your work, the rest will fall into place.”
