AHI President, Legal Counsel to Receive Community Honors

AHI President, Legal Counsel to Receive Community Honors 

WASHINGTON, DC — American Hellenic Institute (AHI) President Nick Larigakis and Nicholas G. Karambelas, Esq., partner, Sfikas & Karambelas, LLP and volunteer legal counsel and AHI director, will each be honored by the Greek American community in November.

Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, Falls Church, Va., will honor Larigakis with its Community Service Award at its Annual Dinner Gala, Nov. 8, 2015, 7 p.m., at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, McLean, Va. Larigakis currently serves as vice president of the Parish Council.  

“I am deeply touched to be honored by my fellow parishioners, and I am sincerely appreciative,” Larigakis said. “The Saint Katherine’s community is a dynamic one, and I am humbled to be a part of it.”

The Hellenic Lawyers Association will present its Attorney of the Year Award to Karambelas at its 27th Annual Dinner Gala, Nov. 13, 2015, 7 p.m., at The Pierre, New York, N.Y.

“I am honored to receive this award from my colleagues in the Greek American community,” Karambelas said. “This recognition means a lot to me, and I am grateful.”

The American Hellenic Institute is an independent non-profit Greek American public policy center that works to strengthen relations between the United States and Greece and Cyprus, and within the Greek American community.
