AHI Hosts The College of New Jersey Student GroupWASHINGTON, DC – The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) hosted 30 students from The College of New Jersey, for breakfast at the Hellenic House, November 16, 2016. The students were in Washington for their Washington, D.C. Day. Guy Calcerano, TCNJ development officer, accompanied the students. The students heard presentations from Larina Konold, Cyprus desk officer, U.S. Department of State, Elizabeth Hittos, chief of staff, U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis, and Paul Glastris, editor-in-chief, The Washington Monthly and former chief speechwriter for President Bill Clinton. All three presenters spoke about their careers, various experiences, and answered questions from the students that ranged from career advice to interest in academic background. AHI Legislative Director Georgea Polizos moderated the presentations and spoke about her experience at AHI. AHI President Nick Larigakis is an alumnus of The College of New Jersey. “We were pleased to host the students from The College of New Jersey,” Larigakis said. “We thank our presenters for providing insightful and informative perspectives that I am sure the students found helpful and appreciated. As an alumnus, it was rewarding to assist the students get the most out of a very important day in Washington.”
